Guess what folks? Today is National Mango Day! That means I take a break from our regular programming to tell you about a drink I invented last summer: the Spicy Mangorita! Here is how to make this delicious treat for those hot summer days:
First, we need a blender. Start with four mangos that are peeled with the pits removed (frozen mango is even better). Then, add 1/4 cup of lime juice, 3 ounces of silver tequila, 2 ounces of cointreau, a handful of ice cubes, and 3 to 5 pieces of fresh basil. Before blending, get your margarita glasses ready. Keeping the glasses in the freezer for a bit is always a good call. Coat the rims with a bit of lime juice then dress it up with some salt and Valentina powder. Then, blend the mango mixture and pour it into the glasses. Top it off with some sparkling water for bubbles and dress it up with basil for the looks.
This cocktail is also super delicious when served virgin, just omit the tequila. Summer is in full force, so the time to pause for a treat and to create memories with those we love is now. Stay well, enjoy little things, and have a big smile on until we meet again.

Amazon Blocks Fake Review Spotting App

Amazon has long been criticized for the poor management of their product reviews. They’ve done everything from incentivizing customers leave positive reviews, failing to take down fake reviews, and adding global reviews to boost product ratings (you can read more about all of that here). As a counter-measure to Amazon’s unreliable review system, Fakespot was created. Fakespot is popular app for detecting fake product reviews and calculating authentic product ratings. However, now Amazon has convinced Apple to remove Fakespot from the App Store, thus further skewing the review system in their favor. Learn more here.
