Best Ways to Customize Your Gmail Inbox

Are you glued to your screen for hours at a time? According to this article, you can live longer if you just stand up more often. I recently made the commitment to stand up on when on a call, after lunch, or just whenever I can. I thought I would share how I converted my workspaces to be standing-friendly so maybe you too can give your back a break.

For a while, I had my chiropractor on speed dial, going back with the same problem every 2 months. Things would usually go from bad to worse like clockwork, but never improved permanently. The chiropractor would work on me, I would do some exercises, and things would improve for a while but then go back to square one in a few short weeks. Today, for the first time in a long time, I feel like I am actually making progress thanks to the combination of my Fitbit tapping me to get up every hour, and my personal efforts to work standing up.

I love my desk at the office, so I didn’t want to change it or get a massive apparatus on top. Sit-Stand desk converter by Mount-It not only met my needs but exceeded my expectations. For starters, it is very well built and feels sturdy, which helps avoid picking up broken pieces of expensive electronics off the floor (happened once before). I especially liked the integrated adjustable monitor arm, which helps properly secure your screen so it can’t slide off. The gas spring lever is quite buttery, so lifting and lowering this beast takes no effort. As seen in the image above, the surface underneath the monitor travels up and down and provides a great spot to rest your coffee, calculator, and notepad. Wire management features are also built-in, though I have not had a chance to truly clean-up those wires yet.

For my home office, I was looking for a compact desk with a minimalist design. The Tresanti 47” adjustable height desk fit the bill perfectly. Its clean look hides a motorized lift with 3 memory positions, wireless charging pad, 2x USB charging ports, decent size drawer, and a dry erase compatible glass top. It comes in black or white at a reasonable price.

Want to go the extra mile and feel amazing? Do office stretches throughout the day. The benefits are huge, and I talked about it in our past newsletters. Here is a great routine to follow.
