How to Edit and Fill PDFs in Google Docs

Amazon, Apple, and Google have been battling hard to lock us into their ecosystem and so far, I have been resisting going exclusive with one. However, with the introduction of subscription bundles and family share benefits, it’s now worth a consideration. I recently looked at Apple One bundle and here is what I found.

What is Apple One?
Apple One is a bundle that brings together multiple Apple subscription services and saves you money. If you are already in the Apple ecosystem and have subscribed to some Apple services, you may be able to get more for your money or simply save on the cost of your subscriptions.

What does Apple One come with and for how much?
Apple One has 3 subscription options to choose from:

Individual – $17 per month

  • Apple Music
  • Apple TV+
  • Apple Arcade
  • 50GB iCloud Storage for 1 person

Family – $23 per month

  • Apple Music
  • Apple TV+
  • Apple Arcade
  • 200GB iCloud Storage
  • Share access with up to 5 people

Premier – $33 per month

  • Apple Music
  • Apple TV+
  • Apple Arcade
  • Apple Fitness+
  • Apple News+
  • 200GB iCloud Storage
  • Share access with up to 5 people

How much can I save with Apple One?
If you happen to be a current subscriber or have interest in most of these services, the savings add up quickly. If you add up the subscription pricing of each service, the Individual plan saves you $7 per month, the Family plan saves you $9, and the Premier plan saves you $26 per month.

Here’s the individual pricing for each service:

  • Apple Music: individual plan $11 / family plan $17 per month
  • Apple TV+: $7 per month
  • Apple Arcade: $5 per month
  • Apple News+: $10 per month
  • Apple Fitness+: $10 per month or $80 for a year
  • iCloud+: $1 per month for 50 GB, $3 for 200 GB, and $10 for 2 TB

What exactly do I get with these services?

Apple Music
Apple Music has a library of 90 million songs in lossless format which means superior audio quality compared to competition. iPhone app and Siri support and phenomenal. Android app is just okay and I’m not a fan of the desktop app. While features like community playlists aren’t as good as others such as Spotify and YouTube, if you are looking of a large catalog of high quality audio streaming, it’s a winner!

Apple TV+
When it comes to quantity, Apple can’t and isn’t trying to compete with Netflix, Disney+ or Hulu however their focus on quality shows on everything they release.

Apple Arcade
If you are a casual gamer and looking to kill time at the airport Apple Arcade is perfect. Over 200 games with no in-app purchases or ads make it a great choice to have some fun on your free time.

iCloud+
5GB storage that is offered free to all iCloud users is very limiting as it gets filled quickly. With the ability to back up your phone, sync your files, and photos, iCloud has more than 15 unique ways to keep your data safe and accessible across all your Apple devices.

Apple News+
While some heavy hitters such as New York Times and Washington Posts are missing, this service included news sources and magazines that makes Apples News+ a bargain. National Geographic, Time, People, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal are among many included with the subscription. Currently only available for Apple devices.

Apple Fitness+
Apple adds 30 new workouts and meditations weekly to make Apple Fitness+ is a top notch contender among fitness apps. From yoga to strength training and guided runs to meditation, there is something for everyone.

If it sounds like a good deal for you, signing up is easy. Go to settings on your iPhone/iPad, tap on your name, choose subscriptions, and select your bundle! However, I suggest also taking a look at what Google has to offer.

See you next week,
