Microsoft Word Tricks Everyone Should Know

As the weather starts changing, I take advantage of any opportunity to take walks. Lately, by pure luck, these walks happen to be around sunset. Last weekend, Maxwell (our yorkie mascot) and I decided to sit for a minute and enjoy the beautiful colors in the sky before snapping the photo above. The world never stops, but it sure slows down if you let it. Maxwell and I watched the sun gently kissing the moon goodnight with its infinite palette of colors, and with mind and soul well fed, we returned home to feed our bellies. I forget how pretty Chicago can be, especially during changes of season. Are you a fall fan?

On a separate note, my team and I started a new tradition to dine-in and support local restaurants on Fridays. We look forward to sharing our experiences at these hidden gems with you. Check out the first one below and let us know if you like this idea!

Lastly, I want to touch on Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Your cybersecurity should be a priority even before any major incident occurs, because addressing it after the fact is usually too little too late. I’m not going to make a big deal out of Cybersecurity Awareness Month as my team and I preach security 12 months of the year, but you can read more about it directly from CISA.

Keep your guard up and let the leaves fall. Most importantly, take walks and breathe in this fresh fall air.

International Artist Day is October 25th

Art is all around us. Whether you hear your favorite song on the radio or drive by a gorgeous mural, you experience art every day. We know that these meeting points elevate our everyday experiences, but it’s common to lose sight of the overall impact of the arts on communities. There are tangible benefits to practicing art, even our government has acknowledged that. So this holiday, get out and explore art around the city.

Local Restaurant Spotlight: Casa Yari

3268 West Fullerton Avenue
Chicago, Illinois 60647

Cuisine: Puerto Rican & Honduran
Special Notes: Vegan & Gluten Free friendly

Website & Menu

Every Friday, our team sets aside a bit of time to grab lunch together. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed trying new local restaurants together and thought we’d loop you into the fun! Last week we ate at Casa Yari, a woman-run small business serving up delicious Puerto Rican & Honduran cuisine in Logan Square.  Daniel had the Vegan Cubano Sandwich, Burak ordered the Jibarito Dinner w/ Jackfruit, and Hannah enjoyed the paella. All of us cleaned our plates and we even got desert to go (their flan is award winning)! Our ranking? 10/10, would most definitely recommend.
